My thoughts on AI
AI is everywhere and hard to escape if you try. And everyone has an opinion. I am no exception.
After giving this some serious thought, I have decided not to use AI to write the content or titles or on any social media post my art is connected to. Yes, I know it can write or give suggestions quickly. I know a computer can suggest titles for art, Instagram post and content for a blog. I know many people who use it as a virtual assistant that comes much cheaper than hiring someone to help. And those people love it and recommend AI highly. It works for them and I don’t think they should change unless they want to.
As I look around at my art and build my website and brand, I cannot help but remember the inspirations behind the paintings and titles; the experiments and failures along the way.
And I don’t want to compromise on the inspiration that hits me in the middle of the night or while shopping or when I look at the sunset. Wherever that nugget comes from, I would miss it if I let a computer write my words and provide the inspiration for a painting.
And most importantly, I would miss the personal connection not only with all of my paintings, but with you. The human touch with no substitutes.
Because no matter how much we have to rely on computers for more and more things, losing the personal contact is something that I am not willing to do. A computer doesn’t buy art. People do. A computer cannot enjoy art. People do.
So, I will write all of my words including titles and social post. And you will know that when we do talk, you will be talking to a human and not a machine.
